The Value in Physical exercise

Another look at the importance of physical exercise
The physical aspect/ dimension of life caters for exercise, nutrition, and stress management. The physical body requires eating the right kind of food, getting enough body rest and relaxation, and exercising on a regular basis.

We neglect exercise because it looks not to demand for urgency, but sooner or later we find ourselves in dealing with the health problems and crises that come as a natural result of our negligence.
Most of us think we don’t have enough time to exercise. This is wrong, we have the time to do it but we don’t have time not to. You don’t need much time; you need three –six hours a week. I mean a minimum of 30minutes a day. Does that really look too much time in terms of the impact on the other hours of the week?

You don’t even need special equipment to do exercise. But if you can go to a gym it is to your advantage.  Play a game you like such as football, tennis, netball, or volley ball if you have an opportunity. However, you don’t need that much to make your body fit.

A good exercise program is one that you can do in your own home, to build your body in the three areas of; endurance, flexibility, and strength.

Endurance comes from aerobic exercises, and cardiovascular efficiency (heart effectiveness) to pump blood through the whole body. The heart muscle cannot be exercised directly like other body muscles but exercises such as running, swimming, biking, jogging, rapid walking, and skiing offer great help.

Science has it that a person is pronounced fit if he/she can increase the heart rate to at least 100 beats per minute and maintain that for about thirty (30) minutes. The maximum heart beat of a person is meant to be 220beats per minute. But when you exercise your heart beat should at least raise to 220 minus your age beats per minute. E.g. if you are of age 50years, your heart beat during exercise should go to a maximum of (220- 50) beats per minute. That is to say 170beat/min.

From exercise our bodies become flexible. Flexibility comes through stretching of muscles. Stretching is recommended for body warm up when starting physical exercise and cooling down after aerobics. Stretching helps to relieve you the acid (lactic acid), that accumulates in muscles during exercise which causes pain and stiffness.

Physical exercises generate strength of muscles. Simple exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups and working with weights yield good results in building muscle strength. You also improve muscle tone through exercise. If you are an athlete, these activities improve you strength and skill.

Do not over strain yourselves to get satisfied that you have done it, but instead to little by little of it to maintain your fitness.

Body exercising requires goal setting. For example; running five (5) laps in a field, running one (1) kilometer in the morning, or evening following a given track, making 50 sit- ups, jumping up and down 100 times or skipping a rope 30 times. When you meet you physical exercise goal you develop self confidence that you are able to accomplish very many tasks you set for yourself and those set for you by others.

You have to work with patience because sometimes you find yourself almost failing when you are about getting to the finishing point. This patience is not simply physical but also emotional. Thus relieving you of the stress you may be going through. Try this friend you will tell the results.

If you have any one who is down hearted, take them for exercise, they will tell you the beautiful results that are mind healing. If they are not able to sleep because of worries and stresses go with them for exercise, they will relax and gain their sleep.

Remember a healthy mind seats in a healthy body. Do you best to keep your body fit, strong and flexible to enable you meet and fulfill your life goals. Your body is the tool you have to satisfy your desires; keep it safe from disease.

You have probably not been exercising, but from this lesson you are deciding to start, start slowly. You may get a little pain but endure; it is simply fatigue which will go with continuity. No pain, no gain. And success is only celebrated after suffering.
